Pixelboard: driving an LED matrix from the web
Pixelboard
Retro pixels, but real: Pixelboard is a web editor for text, scrolling text and pixel graphics that end up on a HUB75 LED matrix (64×64, 128×64, tileable).
The server runs in Docker on my VPS; Raspberry Pis at home fetch the scenes and drive their panel. The trick is the shared renderer: the browser preview and the Pi use the same Pillow code – what I see in the editor lights up exactly like that on the panel.
Also included: a retro font, image import with pixel-art conversion, a full-screen simulator and placeholders for live values. Development and testing work entirely without hardware.
